Halloween is over and time stops for no one! Thanksgiving is now on the calendar! This time of the year always seems to be full of hustle and bustle, excitement, and preparation. So much fun! So today I’m going to share some new Thanksgiving resources that will dial into that excitement and engage your students while they’re learning. So check out the fun Thanksgiving Noun Sort and Math Center Activities.
Thanksgiving Noun Sort
This Thanksgiving Noun Sort is all about turkeys, family, pumpkins, fall, and friendship. So not only would it work great for a Thanksgiving theme, but also for a Friendsgiving theme as well.
Have you ever done Stone Soup or Friendsgiving for Thanksgiving? I’ve never done it, but it sounds so fun!
Students sort 30 noun picture cards into Person, Place, Thing, or Animal.
4 different response pages are included so that you can choose what best meets the needs of your students.
Also comes with a follow-up worksheets that comes in 2 formats.
This resource was designed to be used in a pocketchart, but can be used on the floor or magnetic board/filing cabinet (with modifications). If you’re not sold on using a pocketchart, click the link to read my post last month on the reasons to use a pocketchart: Halloween Noun Sort

Thanksgiving Math Center Activities
Like the Thanksgiving Noun Sort, the Thanksgiving Math Center Activities also center around turkeys, pumpkins, and other fall things like football! The Thanksgiving Math Center Activities pack contains math counting mats 0 to 10 with and without ten frames. One set even has models for those students who need extra help with one-to-one correspondence or who don’t yet recognize their numbers.
The Thanksgiving Math Center pack also contains clip cards for 0 to 10. Use these with clothespins and you also have a great activity enhancing pincer grip.
It also comes with 8 pages of practice sheets that can be used for scaffolding or differentiation.
