Handmade Thank You Card

Sometimes you’re in a hurry, you don’t want to go to the store, or you just want something a little special … that’s when it’s nice to have all those cardmaking supplies stashed away (ok, maybe not always so neatly organized and stashed away) to create that just right card. Or something like that. 🙂 That was the mood I was in recently when I needed something a little extra special and I created this handmade thank you card.

Of course, the card was inspired by one I had pinned on my Pinterest boards which you can see here. And the only supplies I had to purchase was the digital graphic for the paper, which I purchased on Teachers Pay Teachers. So now, I can even turn around and use the digital paper graphic to make products for teaching and my TpT store. Win/win!

I already had the craft paper, twine and buttons in my stash to choose from. Having all those things on hand to use when needed is wonderful. I hate having to go out searching from store to store looking for something when you need it. That’s the best guarantee I won’t even start a project.

I’m not a big stamper, but I am a fan of digital print. If it can be done on the computer/printer, I’ll do it. But there are times when that doesn’t work … like when using that craft paper. It’s too thick to run through the printer, so I had to stamp THANK YOU. YOU’RE THE BEST! was done on the printer.

The 3 tiny holes on the paper were punched using a tiny hole punch. It was perfect for this. Inside the card is another sheet of paper with the message printed on it. And that’s it. The card was done, other than my personal stamp which I put on the back. Relatively simple. I could have embellished it more by inking around the edges … and now I’m wondering why I didn’t. Probably in a hurry.
