Life Cycle of an Apple Emergent Reader and Activities
This emergent reader is a fun way to introduce the life cycle of an apple. It includes all the vocabulary and comes with vocabulary, labeling, comprehension, and sequencing activity sheets.
Life Cycle of an Apple Sequencing Cards and Activities
There are various ways to teach the Life Cycle of an Apple, therefore I’ve included in this resource several options so that you may customize the activities to your needs. Not only have I included various options for teaching the apple life cycle, but also different ways for you to print the pages to maximize paper usage.
The first activity consists of colored cards that can be used in various ways.
1 – Use them for sequencing cards or in the pocketchart for Centers/Stations or for teaching the cycle.
2 – Use them to teach or as a model of the Apple Life Cycle as shown in the photographs. There are various ways this can be done such as seed at the top going down, seed at the bottom going up, starting with the apple instead of the seed, or even removing some of the cards.
3 – The file includes 3 larger cards/items that can be used as the topper: big apple, larger card with tree, or larger card with apple.
It’s up to you how you want to configure this. Use them in a pocketchart, on a magnetic board, etc.
The second activity is a blackline version of the first activity for students to complete. I included two versions: one with the labels and one without. On the cards without the labels you can have your students copy or write the words on their cards. If needed, they can copy the words from the bottom of the activity sheet. They can glue the cards to string/ribbon/paper strips for a great hall display or they can glue them onto construction paper. This can be done in small groups or Centers/Work Stations … but students will need some room to spread out and work.
The last activity is the follow up activity sheet. Students cut out the words and glue them in the correct box. This sheet can be used for assessment or independent work.
