Have you been looking for something new to add fun and pizazz to your teaching resources? Why not start with this cute Rootin’, Tootin’ Cowboy Emergent Reader, Memory Game and Practice Sheets! From there you can add the Rootin’, Tootin’ Cowboy Pocketchart Pictures and Sentence Strips and have the beginnings of a fun Cowboy, Western or Texas Unit.
Rootin’, Tootin’ Cowboy is the cutest cowboy emergent reader along with a memory game and reading practice sheets. The book is in an easy to read, half page format with pages listing both sight and vocabulary words. Sight words used in the book are: I, am , a, here, is, my, are. Not only will your students be practicing those sight words, but they’ll also be learning the cowboy vocabulary and vocabulary words. A memory game is included that can be played with both words or pictures from the book, depending on the level of your learners. Six reading practice sheets are also included: a vocabulary sheet, a reading fluency sheet, and 4 similar pages scaffolding learners through reading sight words, vocabulary and color words. This is a great resource for early or special needs learners.
